Boarding and Grooming at Palos Animal Hospital
Need a place to keep your pet while you’re out of town, or do they need a makeover? If so, bring them to Palos Animal Hospital, where we offer boarding services and grooming services for dogs and cats! Our grooming services are available alone or in conjunction with our boarding services, for your convenience. You can be confident that we’ll take great care for your companion while they’re in our care.
Pet Boarding at Palos Animal Hospital
Our boarding facility is equipped with cages or small runs for dogs. Dogs are walked at least three times a day either indoors or outdoors. Our canine guests also enjoy playtime on a daily basis while our feline guests are kept in a separate area, where they can enjoy a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. We provide all of our boarding guests with food, water, and blankets and can administer any necessary medications (medications can be administered for an additional fee). However, if you prefer to bring a pet blanket/bed or food from home, you’re more than welcome to do so.
We gladly welcome both patients and non-patients to our boarding facility and require that all guests be current on their rabies, distemper, and Bordetella (dogs) vaccines prior to boarding with us. If your pet is not currently a patient at Palos Animal Hospital, proof of your pet’s recent vaccination records from your current veterinarian is required before your pet can be admitted. This information must be faxed to our office at 708-448-0012. For non-patients, we also require a wellness exam (for an additional charge) to be conducted at the time your pet is dropped off for boarding.
Pet Grooming at Palos Animal Hospital
Palos Animal Hospital offers both routine and therapeutic bathing services for both dogs and cats. All pets receive a free nail trim and ear cleaning with their bath. We also offer shave downs for cats upon request. Professional grooming services are also available. By having your pet professionally groomed on a regular basis, you can do more than just make them look and smell better. Did you know that grooming can also improve your pet’s overall skin and coat health? A healthy coat is one that is shiny, pliable, and smooth. Grooming can also increase the chances of certain skin conditions being found early, so they can be treated in their earliest stages.
If you plan to board your pet at our facility, we’ll be happy to also groom your pet during their stay, without the need to schedule a separate appointment. Book your pet’s boarding and/or grooming appointment at Palos Animal
