PET FOOD DRIVE! Palos Animal Hospital will have a pet food collection bin in our waiting room to help B.A.R.K (Better Awareness for Rescue K-9's) collect pet food for local families who are struggling to feed their pets. B.A.R.K is hoping to collect 1000 pounds of dog and cat food for Elsie's Pantry pet food drive.
January is our first dental month!! We are pleased to offer a $40 discount on dental procedures during the months of January and March! Dogs must be up-to-date on rabies, distemper, and kennel cough vaccines. Cats must be up-to-date on rabies and feline distemper vaccines. February is spay/neuter month! During the month of February, Cook County and Will County offer a $40 discount for spay/neuter surgeries. Pets must live in Cook or Will County to be eligible for the discount. Dogs must be up-to-date on rabies, distemper, and kennel cough vaccines. Cats must be up-to-date on rabies and feline distemper vaccines. Call us at 708-448-6600 with any questions, or to schedule an appointment. Please note if your female pet is in heat, the surgery may need to be delayed for up to two months and the discount is only available in February.

Dogs that spend a lot of time outdoors or in wooded areas are at risk for exposure to ticks, which can carry Lyme disease. Lyme disease has been detected more and more in local dogs over the past few years. CLICK HERE to read more about Lyme disease, or call us at 708-448-6600 for more information.
Even pets that spend a short amount of time are at risk for picking up fleas or ticks. And cats that live in the same household as dogs can pick up fleas that dogs bring inside. Avoid these difficult-to-eliminate pests by keeping all dogs and cats in your home protected by Frontline.
