$40 Rebate for Pet Spay/Neuter Month

Spaying and neutering your pets is important for their health and for reducing the overpopulation of strays. That’s why Cook County and Will County celebrate Spay/Neuter Month every February by working together with veterinarians in the area to provide these important procedures at a discount rate.

To get started, all you need to do is call our hospital at (708) 448-600 to book an appointment for your pet’s spay/neuter surgery during the month of February. When the time comes to check out following their procedure, you will receive your $40 rebate right away. No forms or mailing coupons to worry about!

Requirements for Receiving the Rebate

To qualify for the rebate, you must be a resident of Cook or Will County. Second, you need to schedule your pet’s spay/neuter surgery for the month of February. Last, your pet should be up-to-date on all of their vaccinations, especially rabies. We want to make sure your pet is healthy and will be safe during their surgery!

In addition, this rebate offer is limited to two pets per household.

The Benefits of Having Your Pet Spayed/Neutered

Spayed and neutered pets can often live longer than their intact counterparts. These procedures also prevent animals from being able to reproduce, which can decrease the stray animal population and make it easier for shelter animals to find forever homes. Additional health and behavioral benefits include:

  • A decrease in aggressive behavior in males
  • A reduced desire to roam
  • An elimination of the heat cycle in females
  • Reduced or eliminated risk of mammary gland tumors and ovarian/uterine cancer in females
  • Reduced or eliminated risk of destructive spraying and marking (males)
  • Eliminated risk of developing testicular cancer (males)
  • A reduced risk of developing prostate disease (males)

Spaying/neutering both directly and indirectly benefits companion animals. If you have any questions about these procedures or would like to schedule your pet’s appointment for February, give us a call at (708) 448-6600.
